Hard to believe, but a year ago today was my first day at Grace Hopper! I have now been employed as a developer for almost six months, and many of the things I struggled with as a student now seem completely natural to me. I have gained a much deeper knowledge of how to build web applications. I have also gained a much deeper sense of how much more there is in the world of computer science for me to learn.
It can be hard to find the time for independent learning, especially about things that aren’t directly relevant to my job, but I think that it is important to my growth as a developer. The next chapters of this blog will be focused on this broader exploration – as soon as I figure out what to explore.
